Sun hugs your skin: tanning

It has been a while Go Rouge was having a tiny rest after hard winter. But now it's back for spring with tons of great advice and news. Sit back and fasten your seatbelts!

It's a hot hot April outside. I feel really spoilt by sun. Girls (and some of the guys) start feeling shy about their pale winterish skin color, some are hungry for UV and can't wait for the brown sparkling firm summer skin. Here are some tips for preparing your body (skin) for tanning.

Enjoy perfect skincolor
Some of us are so impatient about taning, they prefer indoor taning, solarium, self tanner lotions... The rest prefer natural suntan at the beach or roof top. Whatever option you chose be sure you are ready for it and protected enough. First of all for longlasting and even tan you have to take a good bath or shower and exfoliate your bodyskin and face. Use scrubs and special sponges for that. Now that you get rid of dead skin, you are ready to pick which way to tan.

Solarium (or indoor tanning). This is a fast and effective way for tanning, but not always healthy. Make sure you don't have any skin problems and are allowed for solarium tanning. Take a shower before solarium. Do not use any spray, lotion, perfume or makeup for avoiding spots after tanning. Use special lotions for solarium which you can buy directly in tanning studios. Start tanning for 3-5 min. Then by and by you can increase the minutes until you get the desired result. DO NOT FORGET tanning in solarium is not safe, so don't abuse it. 3 or 4 times for a season in more than enough. Also chose stand up tanners instead of laying. Hygiene, you know...

Self tanners (bronzers). So many of them disappointed me.  Some are oily, some too creamy, some stink or leave an uneven tan, spots, lines on your body. To tell the truth I do not trust self tanners as much and made so many mistakes by using those product. So I've learnt some things about it - do not use self tanner lotions! You will never be able to spread them evenly. Do not buy cheap products - you will have an orange skin color. Get a nice self tanner spray. Take a shower, put some moisturizer on your body, apply spray self tanner from a distance, walk naked couple of minutes at home :) As soon as you are dry you may put clothes on. Self tanners do not last long. But they are really good for supporting the tanned skin and make your tan long last.

Finally the outdoor natural tanning, which I personally prefer and love the most! Nothing can substitude the way sun embraces your skin, warms you up. As always depending on the contry where you tan make sure you have a proper protection and do not tan at day time (morning and afternoon only). While laying under the sun, properly applied a tanning lotion, turn from time to time. Remember about armpits, cover your breasts and nose.
